Runamaky Projects is a community based project focused on Ecuadorian cultural heritage that endeavors to renew, explore and investigate traditional textiles. The runamaky community workshop is made up of families from the Andean community of Salasaca,Ecuador who preserve and utilize ancestral weaving, dyeing and spinning techniques.A fully circular process that uses native materials of the best quality and involve and connect the inhabitants of the community.
All textiles made in the Runamaky workshop are unique pieces handmade on looms in limited quantities. Each fabric is slightly different in texture and design. We celebrate the small details that the weavers put into each of the pieces.
